Dear friends: ( 4-19-2020)
I hope you all had chance to watch this wonderful 25th anniversary musical
"Phantom of the Opera" rerun last weekend.
"Phantom of the Opera" rerun last weekend.
I like it so much I watched it Saturday afternoon again though I had watched it previous night.
After all, only" love "can conquer a distorted and broken heart! What a good lesson to learn!
And this particular song in it brought tears to my eyes, as I miss very much my husband, my father and my mother
in Heaven.Wish somehow they were still on earth, but I know I am blessed to be able to see them again in Heaven someday.
in Heaven.Wish somehow they were still on earth, but I know I am blessed to be able to see them again in Heaven someday.
( Thank God for the promise of the eternal life in Christ! So I bravely wiped out my tears!
Hope we all seek God earnestly while He is near!)
Hope we all seek God earnestly while He is near!)
The only part I don't really agree with this song is
"No more memories no more silent tears... "
as I treasure all the memories of my loved ones who had passed away. And "memories" are God's great gifts to us!
(i.e. think about poor Alzheimer's patients)
BTW, I also hope the past could come alive, not as she sang
"the past just die" so I have altered part of the lyric.
I am glad I have kept my husband's ashes at home,
so he won't be left alone in the cemetery.
( At the very bottom below is my whole personal version)
...Wishing I could hear your voice againKnowing that I never would
Dreaming of you does comfort me
Why can't you stay for long?
Back to ashes, staying home with me
You are not left alone
Flowers keep blooming around you
They are fragrant and pretty
***
Almost one year
Fighting back tears
Why can’t the past come alive?
Fighting back tears
Why can’t the past come alive?
Wishing you were somehow here again
Knowing we must say goodbye
Till we meet in Heaven again
Knowing we must say goodbye
Till we meet in Heaven again
God will wipe all my tears.
Precious memories, mixed with silent tears
How could I forget all those loving years?
Help me say goodbye ( For now say goodbye! For now say Goodbye! )
How could I forget all those loving years?
Help me say goodbye ( For now say goodbye! For now say Goodbye! )
.
Hope you treasure your love while you are blessed to still have your spouse and loved ones on earth!
The cemetery scene is more clearer in this following link.
I also paste the lines which touched my heart most below to share with you.

Today I tried to sing along with these lines to my husband and tears
were filled my eyes again.
(This morning 4-21-2020 I tried to alter the lyric of this song to suit my own feelings towards my husband
--In Memory of My Dearest husband Liu-kang--
You were once my one companion
You were all that mattered
You were once a better half and friend
Then my world was shattered
Wishing you were somehow here again
Wishing you were somehow near
Sometimes it seemed if I just dreamed
Somehow you would be here
Wishing I could hear your voice again
Knowing that I never would
Dreaming of you does comfort me
Why can't you stay for long?
Back to ashes, staying home with me
You are not left alone

All that you dreamed I could

All that you dreamed I could
May God carry us through this terrible pandemic time!

Too many years
Fighting back tears
Why can't the past just die
Fighting back tears
Why can't the past just die
Wishing you were
somehow here again
Knowing we must say goodbye
Try to forgive teach me to live
Give me the strength to try
No more memories no more silent tears
No more gazing across the wasted years
Help me say goodbye
Knowing we must say goodbye
Try to forgive teach me to live
Give me the strength to try
No more memories no more silent tears
No more gazing across the wasted years
Help me say goodbye
